Gym Expansion - Site Plan Submission + Historical Summary ( to date )

March 25 , 2026 As noted in Ramadan, there has been some progress in going from a two-level side gymnasium, to one-level front gymnasium design, which also allows the walking track to be retained. Insha-Allah, God willing, the Front , Single Floor Gym + Walking Track, updated layout and facades, will be presented on waterloomasjid.com by the first week of April. InshaAllah the next Site Plan Submission will be in just over a month.

Previous edition updates: Waterloo Masjid has submitted plans to the City of Waterloo for an expansion project to add a multi-purpose gym in a two-level building extension. As many community members have been asking for updates on the project - we have compiled a document "Waterloo_Masjid_Community_Centre_Historical Summary" which gives an up to date detailed overview of the project, and the current submission status.

Parking Volunteers and Reminders

Parking Reminders. A reminder to please not park at Westmount Plaza, and follow all bi-laws when parking in the neighbourhood streets. This includes parking on only one side of Dawson street. The masjid is also looking for dedicated volunteers to help with parking.

No solicitation allowed in the Masjid

Nobody is allowed to request money or anything else of value from someone anywhere in the Masjid, not even in the parking lot. If you spot anyone asking for money, please ignore the request to discourage such behavior in the Masjid premises, and also please report the incidence to the Masjid administration.
